Back before everything, he hadn’t been able to see spirits, but the sense of whether a case was real or not, the cold air that chilled the room when something truly supernatural was there- he’d become able to sense that. It would make sense, then, that this quasi-psychic would be able to sense if something was amiss with Reigen.

As a matter of fact, it would make sense that everyone here, in this town accustomed to urban legends, would be able to sense that something was very slightly not right with Reigen.

(or: a sequel to symbiosis. in which Reigen and Mob take a trip.)

hey guys, you know how i’ve been teasing that symbiosis sequel for five years? well, it’s here! an absence of light, part of the series now titled but all the void behind my teeth. it’s basically impossible to summarize without spoiling the first part, but the series will explore how the changes that occurred in symbiosis affect later arcs- in this one, the urban legends arc. this is a one shot, not a multi chapter ordeal like symbiosis. warnings for this one: body horror and violence.

if you like canon rewrites, bad things happening to nice men in suits, and people learning more about themselves (in a less than fun way), check it out! it’s pretty good.
