May 2016 - game release. Double entendre joke + Junkrat defensive (even if in an hypocrita way) of Hog, as he calls him “big lug” (a gentle, large man)
October 2016 - Junkers are the only characters with matching skins + Menu image showing Junkrat touching and looking at Roadhog with love + the official facebook page comparing it with a romantic couple
November 2016 - Relationship development, Hog moves from shutting up Rat when trying a new catch phase to happily starting their it.
December 2016 - (1) Small cameo in the Christmas comic show them together having fun, (2) Hog’s gun has an sticker saying “From: Junkrat!”, (3) official art of Junkrat getting a pachimari shirt -iplied gift from Hog-, (4) Matching sprays showing them in vacations together:

May 2017 - Anniversary event: Junkers are the only characters with matching dance, in which if in sync, the high five + matching sprays (everyone has card-themes sprays, the junkers are the only who are “Jokers”) + Official merch showing the Junkers t-shirt intentionally match, and for that they put a married couple wearing it + Jeff Kaplan talking about given the Junkers and spin-off and comparing it to a romantic comedy:
