I work with kindergarten and grade one kids, and one of my smallest kindergarteners hit her head real bad on a playground. When I asked if she’s ok she replied
“it hurts but whenever I’m sad I think of my big brother and remember to be brave!”

A story from me: my hair is almost always dyed an unnatural color so I constantly have very young kids pointing it out excitedly to their parents like “mommy, look at that man’s hair!” Once, I had one point at me and say “I wanna be cool like him when I grow up!”
I love kids and their never-ending fascination with my hair and I hope they all get to dye their hair pretty colors when they grow up!
A little boy came up to me when I was volunteering today and said that my shirt reminded him of the teddy bear he got for his birthday! then he said I was “very handsome” and it really made my day
