ed and al grew up in a town with an annual sheep festival & i feel like we dont talk abt that enough. they’re country boys they grew up best friends with chickens and ran around barefoot til stepping on glass wouldnt even phase them and only went inside when lightning or snow or whatever threatened their lives (and probably even then trisha had to carry ed bodily into the house). that probably contributes to why ed thinks roy is such an ass whole he’s a fancy city boy probably never got dirt under his nails his whole life says “you all” like some sort of college professor. idiot
also that just makes alphonse’s devotion to wearing nothing but 3 piece suits even more iconic. king of fashion even when goats r trying to eat your jacket
