Why? Well, why not? Constructive criticism and comments would be very appreciated! I’m nowhere near a good or professional DM, so any tip can help me improve my skills and knowledge. I put together official material (from dndbeyond dot com) to make something fun while trying to keep it all balanced. The sketches, however, are made by me, so please do not repost them.

Let’s begin! :D I decided to keep the +2 Strength ability score increase, Medium size, Draconic ancestry, Breath weapon and Damage Resistance traits.

-Eastern dragonborn

aka Asian Dragonborn

Ability Score Increase. Your Intelligence score increases by 1.

Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.

Amphibious. You can breathe both air and water. You have a swimming speed of 30 feet.

Cantrip You know one cantrip of your choice from the wizard spell list. Intelligence is your spellcasting ability for it.

-Tarasque dragonborn

aka “I’m totally gonna play one named Bowser”

*I know there is already a “Tarrasque” in the Monster Manual: this subrace is, in fact, inspired by the original Provence Tarasque monster, often described as a dragon-like chimera. Part tortoise, part lion, scorpion tail.

Ability Score Increase. Your Constitution score increases by 1.

Speed. Your base walking speed is 25 feet.

Natural Armor. Due to your shell and the shape of your body, you are ill-suited to wearing armor. Your shell provides ample protection, however; it gives you a base AC of 17 (your Dexterity modifier doesn’t affect this number). You gain no benefit from wearing armor, but if you are using a shield, you can apply the shield’s bonus as normal.

Shell Defense. You can withdraw into your shell as an action. Until you emerge, you gain a +4 bonus to AC, and you have advantage on Strength and Constitution saving throws. While in your shell, you are prone, your speed is 0 and can’t increase, you have disadvantage on Dexterity saving throws, you can’t take reactions, and the only action you can take is a bonus action to emerge from your shell.

-Feathered Dragonborn

aka Rainbow Dragonborn

Ability Score Increase. Your Dexterity score increases by 1.

Speed. Your base walking speed is 40 feet.

Darkvision. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light.

Flight You have a flying speed of 50 feet. To use this speed, you can’t be wearing medium or heavy armor.
